Dealing with so many chocolate eggs from Easter. So I used them to make some cookies with my four year old son. He had fun counting out the eggs and helping out them on the cookies.

Baking is a fun way to get your kids involved with things in the kitchen. My kids always enjoy it, especially tasting what they made later.

Need a weekend pick me up? Then you may need this Cranberry Orange White Chocolate Cake. I am in love with these flavours.

With all my kids home with online learning I needed something to feed them during their snack times and this fit the bill. This cake uses fresh cranberries so you get a pop of tartness that works well with the sweet, soft cake.

Tired of the cold? I sure am especially now that the holiday season is over. Decided to make some Mixed Berry Oatbars to chase away the winter blues.

I also had some fresh berries in the fridge that had moved past the stage where they looked appealing. This was a necessary bake after all the chocolate and candy devoured over Christmas.

It's still technically fall, right?? In case it is I wanted to post my Apple Spice Tea Cake. The perfect teatime treat or school snack.

It took more then a couple tries but I finally got it tasting and looking the way I wanted. The most important part of the cake is picking the right apple.

Would you like S'more? I know I do. Working on my S'more Bar recipe and I am in love. 😍

It has a browned butter graham cracker base with homemade marshmallow middle and topped with a soft chocolate ganache.

The flavours are awesome but needs a little tweaking. The base is a little crumbly and I need to find the right chocolate for the top. Recipe is definitely on the way for these scrumptious bars.

Plum's anyone? Decided to try something entirely new. I've never baked with plums so I set my eyes on a Plum and Baked Custard Tart.

I absolutely love this tart. The only thing I'd change is using plums that were a little more ripe. Juicy plums are definitely key. I hope to post a recipe soon.

Does snow means falls over? To me it does not. I love finding new ways to use traditional flavours. These Pumpkin Rugelach Cookies are the perfect fall treat.

My kids love these. The don't stick around the house long enough to even make it to the cookie jar. These cookies are flacky, tender, and aren't super sweet.

Rugelach are easier to make then they look, so don't worry and give it a try. They are also the perfect way to get rid of any left over pumpkin puree from Thanksgiving.

The snow has me thinking of Christmas and baking.

The snow has me thinking of Christmas and baking. Working on a new recipe for Gingerbread Biscotti.

I'm not an expert when it comes to biscotti so these turned out a touch over done but it tastes incredible with a Rooibos Tea Latte.

With a little more work this recipe will be perfect. Keep watching for me to post the recipe. Stay warm.

I've never been the greatest bread baker and Paul helped me out with that. I first fell in love with Paul on Great British Bake Off and haven't looked back.

There's a chill in the air, how do you fight it of? I'm working hard on my Apple Spice Tea Cake. The recipe will be ready soon and I'm excited.

The key to the best flavour is to use the right type of apple. Here in Ontario there are lots to choose from, but after trying a couple of them I have made my choice. The apple with the best flavour for this cake is Honey Crisp.

Saturday requires some unwinding time, don't you agree?
For me this means starting work on a new miniature and enjoying one of my favourite teas.

Today I have a beautiful Yellow Tea that I got when I was living in Calgary from a local shop called The Naked Leaf.

Yellow teas are considered rare with only a few places still producing it. It undergoes a slightly different process then other Chinese teas. After dehydration the still warm leaves are covered by a damp cloth which kind of steams the leaves giving them a yellowish hue. It's a fabulous tea if you can get your hands on it.
